As an extension to my "Places some MGTOWs would rather be" thread, I want to hear about your lad's trips. Good places to go, your thoughts on common "lad's spots" (like Thailand) and whether you went by yourself or with others.
To keep it as informative as possible and to make comparisons easier, include the following infoTo start off I will talk about Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
- Cost of accommodation (and star value)
- Daily Spending
- Cost of going out to bars (drink prices and cover charges)
- Quality of the ladies
- Three places to visit
- One downside
Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaPlaces to visit would include:
- I stayed at a hotel in Bukit Bintang (the trendy area a stone's throw away from the Petronas Towers) and paid $110/night for a room at a five-star hotel. All inclusive breakfast and various restaurant options in the hotel. Marble floors in the bathroom and literally had the red carpet rolled out when the Sultan stayed there.
- My daily spending including lunch, mixers and general sightseeing was about $60/day but you could do it for less if your budget is stretched.
- Alcohol is taxed heavily in Malaysia, a pint of beer or cider would cost $8 (RM24) in a decent bar, costs are no more expensive than in Australia.
- There were some real stunners around Bukit Bintang but there are also a lot of pros and semi-pros around but not as bad as in Thailand. Would suggest sticking with the Chinese girls there.
- Malaysia is highly developed for the region and there isn't the in your face poverty of other places in the area, it is pretty ordered and there isn't the seediness of Thailand. The main downside would be the cost of alcohol, considering Thailand is to the north.
Petronas Towers. The view from here is amazing and you can see an Asian city expanding at great pace.
Batu Caves. Has a Tamil temple at the bottom and up the top has some nice limestone caves. 272 steps up to the top so you will get your exercise for the day going up and down.
Bukit Bintang (where the hotel was)
Pavilion Mall in Bukit Bintang. Not usually a big fan of malls but this one was massive and you could easily spend a whole day here, there is everything here.
BeijaFlor :Lad's trips: Dominican Republic
My destination for my last few "lad's trips" has been the beach town of Sosúa, on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. It's a two-hour flight from Miami, FL, which is my preferred airline's hub for the Caribbean and South America; this makes it a popular destination for east-coast-USA guys who want a quick getaway and a chance to get a wide range of "strange."
Sosúa is about 25 km east of the city of Puerto Plata, which is a hub for "all-inclusive resort" tourism with its Playa Dorada mega-resort complex. I don't recommend those if you're planning some "close encounters" with the local talent; there are a number of good hotels within a short walk of the beach and the night-life district. The one I stayed at in December is Casa Cayena , which is 350 meters west of the night-life and about 200 meters east of the ocean (and a lovely, un-busy beach, Playa Alicia). It's a small boutique hotel that might earn three diamonds from the AAA tour-guides, if it were in the USA. $68/night for one person in a "single" room with a king bed; that includes complimentary breakfast (pretty darn good omelets) and dinner (I like the Wiener Schnitzel in paprika sauce, 'nach Jaegerart').
Daily spending? Your mileage may vary, but I travel to Sosua to enjoy two distinct (and expensive) hobbies, scuba diving and "The Hobby." You could probably do well on about $200/day for lodging, meals, drinks, night-clubbing and "close encounters." I bring $300/day, because scuba diving is a major cost even if you bring your own gear. (Typically $80 for a two-dive morning, though you can get a discount for multiple days.) A 350-ml bottle of the national beer, Presidente, is about 100 pesos ($2.50 US) in the restaurants and night spots, and at the outdoor cafés and bars on the main beach, Playa de Sosúa. A good lunch or dinner at any of a number of good restaurants may cost as much 500 pesos ($12.50 US, assuming an exchange rate of US$1=40 pesos; today it's about 42 pesos). I've brought back a few hundred bucks from my last couple of trips, but you can always stash that to spend it later. (There are banks and ATM machines in town, but I'm a little leery of them.)
There are several popular "meet market" night-spots in town, in a few blocks of the main street, Calle Pedro Clisante. They can get VERY busy of an evening, quite crowded in fact. None of them have cover-charges, and that "cerveza pequeña" or Cuba Libre might go up to 120 pesos, but not much beyond that unless you buy something "special" (i.e. pricey, like a Bailey's for the chica who's chatting you up). Just about all of the chicas you meet in these places are looking for your tourist dollars ... Sosúa has 'a reputation' in the Dom Rep, and working girls come in from quite a wide region to "cast their net" for Yankee high-rollers. The going rate for a "short-time" dalliance, one or two hours and one pop on your part, is about 1500 pesos ($40 US), and an all-nighter (bedtime and morning pops) is twice that; a particularly beautiful girl may demand more, sometimes a lot more. (To put that in perspective, wages for a shop clerk are around US $80/week!) The chicas range from ho-hum average to quite delightful, which shouldn't surprise anyone.
Things to see - The beach, obviously. The main beach is south of town; it's a half-mile long (800 meters) and it's lined with little beach-bars and cafes and "tourist stuff" shops up behind the tree-line. It's a great place to sit in the shade with a beer and look out at the ocean, and the children playing and splashing, and the young women strolling and basking in the sun. (Not all of these young women are 'playing the game' - especially on Saturdays and Sundays, this beach is a popular family destination.) A few kilometers east is Cabarete, which is good for surfing, wind-surfing and kiteboarding; in fact, it's world-class as a kiteboarding destination. I've mentioned scuba-diving; it isn't as spectacular as, say, Aruba or the Caymans or Bonaire, but it's still pretty good and the reefs outside Sosúa Bay are pretty healthy. (There's also quite a push to establish new artificial reefs, with strips and fields of hollow concrete "reef balls" placed off beaches outside the mouth of the Bay.) For on-shore tourist sights, there's Mount Isabel de Torres overlooking Puerto Plata; you ride a cable-car to the top of the mountain, which boasts beautiful views of the city and the surrounding area, plus a tour of rainforest-like botanical gardens. There's also the amber museum in Puerto Plata, the Ocean World aquarium "adventure park," casino and marina further west, and Damajagua Falls beyond that.
The biggest downside, for me, is that the chicas and vendors can get too pushy, and the music in the night-spots can get altogether too loud. (I'm going to post some photos later.

Great discussion.
I regret if the details are skimpy. Some days I love being an admin, other days I bemoan the lack of time.
Place: Pattaya, Thailand
Summary: Pattaya is a southern beach town in Thailand. I strongly prefer it to Bangkok because Pattaya is far less expensive, women are plentiful, and there's a party atmosphere (drinking, bars, beaches, tourists in flip flops). I've visited twice. Hotel rates are a fraction of Bangkok (which itself is fairly industrial, lots of pollution, traffic, and city activity) - I believe I paid $60 a night for a top hotel (prices may have varied as the last time I went was four years ago). Women are solid. Two options come to mind. You can go to bars and pick up a chick that way. Bar-girls will chat you up; you then pay a fee to the bar for releasing her and a fee to the girl herself. Watch out for ladyboys! Don't get too drunk- lol. Second option, are the massage parlors where they can sometimes have upto 40 women standing behind a window. Most of them are hot and sweet natured (unlike your average Western woman). You basically get to choose looking at all of them. It's a cool setup. If you want any more details on this front, PM me.
Pattaya is great too because of the weather and atmosphere. You can save money by eating a local places- which are about $5 a meal. Avoid the tourist traps- usually seafood restaurants. NEVER order anything without seeing the price for it, or if the menu omits the price. A common scam where you will end up with a $50 bill afterwards. Kicking it on the beach is a great option, with a tequila (or your drink of choice). Personally, I love taking the WaveRunner out but there are other things like Jet Skiing or boating. Fortunately, there is a LOT of great material on the Internet on traveling to Pattaya so be sure to check them out.
I've heard great things about Ko Samui in Thailand and would like to try it out next.
Place: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Cabo is warm and sunny all times of the year. It is a perfect getaway for the North American MGTOW. When Americans think a warm getaway that's close, especially if you live in Texas or west of it, Mexico comes to mind. But Mexico is also filled with scary, backward sh*tholes as every country has, so pass those over for the sunny climes of Cabo. When I was younger, I frequented Tijuiana and still don't mind dropping by when I'm in San Diego.
But Cabo is close to perfect for the single traveler. Unlike Cancun, Cabo generally has fewer couples and families, which means less screaming kids- always a plus. Cabo is on the Baja peninsula of Mexico, the part on its West coast that juts out into the Pacific Ocean and is separate from the main body of Mexico. Cabo is at the southern tip of the Baja. Because it is isolated from the mainland, it is pretty much a tourist spot only and there is little incursion into the life there from the other shady goings on in Mexico, mainly drug gangs. Because Cabo is a high-end tourist place, the environment is quality, though costly.
My primary experience is staying in San Jose Del Cabo. This gets a little confusing- lol. There is no such place as Cabo. There is Los Cabos- the general area. Within Los Cabos, there are two cities, San Jose Del Cabo ("San Jose Del") and Cabo San Lucas ("San Lucas"). San Jose Del is further North up the coast - it is quieter, and filled with spacious, beach-facing all-inclusive resorts. A great place to chill out. There is also surfing near by at the Costa Azul beach, facing the Gulf of Mexico. San Lucas has all the nightlife and is what most people think about when they think of Cabo. Personally, I find San Jose Del more luxurious and a relaxing place to unwind. Getting into San Lucas takes only about 30 minutes- so going down there for nightlife is simple. You can do everything in Cabo - surf, scuba dive (water is reasonably warm), dune buggy, horseback riding, you name it.
Women are solid. Mexican women have curves in all the right places. They make you forget all about our masculine, short-haired female jokes back home-- at least until you arrive back from vacation. There are strip clubs which is one option. See this site for more . Watch the cost on this option; be prepared to negotiate, and be prepared to walk out if you don't get the right price. Finally, my real value add here is to tell you about a better alternative- there is a little known bar nearby in San Lucas called "El Toro Bar" (it is not El Toro Guero if you look it up)- you will have to do a little searching to find it. The bar-girls there are usually just as hot as the strip clubs and 3 times less expensive. Both the last 2 times I went, the hottest, most passionate girls I found here. It is in downtown, not far from the main clubs in San Lucas, such as El Squid Roe. PM me for more- I can possibly even give you the coordinates of this mysterious place if I look on google maps to refresh my memory.
Cabo can be pricy; aside from that, it is a solid getaway for North American MGTOWs.
Billy :
I just returned to the USA from Cebu, Philippines.i spent almost 4 months there after being in Angeles city , which is the real adult Disney land.
I stayed in many different hotels , from a 4 star at $60 a night to cheap pension hotels/apartments for $160 a month. One caution on the cheap pensions, many do not have hot water . There are $200 a night rooms, but they are not in my budget.
While I was in Cebu , I went to neighborhood bars and drank $.75 beers and discos with the $12 pitchers of margaritas and $1.75 vodka drinks. There are also girlie bars and the drinks were around $1.50 also, with takeout available.
The discos are jam packed with people on Friday and Saturday night from about 11 pm until 4 ish. Many freelancers or girlfriends for the night are inside the disco J Ave and also outside in Mango Square.
I went to the Philippines to look for a new place to live and ended up in Cebu on a recommendation from other ex-pats. There are a large number of foreigners living the Philippines and many in Cebu .
The worst things about the Philippines are , terrible Internet outside of Manila or Angeles city, the traffic in Cebu after lunch is terrible, and the trash and air pollution.
I rode in jeepneys in Cebu because they are cheap , only 8 pesos, but they are inconvenient and slow.
I stayed in a pension hotel named Fuentes Pension during Christmas and New Years and the view from the rooftop restaurant , watching what seemed like the complete city exploding in fireworks, was incredible.
I traveled to another island and stayed in San Carlos , Negros Occidental. This town had a cool city park with a pool , but the rest was BORING. Make sure you take your own entertainment.
I also went to Moal Boal and stayed at a dive resort which was excellent . While I was there , they had a completion between the area hotels and they had. 8 different dance groups perform for a prize of money and a big sack of rice. The amount of pretty women in this area was astounding.
I ended up in Zamboanga del Norte , living with a filipina and until you have been with a filipina or a Latina , you have no idea how good life can be. Watching her dance Zumba as exercise makes my eyes happy.
I will be returning to the Philippines in 2 months.
A man in the Philippines is expected to GTOW. Never ask a filipina what she is hungry for , tell her what you are eating.
Grenade001 :
You should do a post about Angeles City. There used to be an American base there for many years and I imagine that there would be a few interesting cocktails among the girls there. A girl I know who is half Filipina and half Australian was born there and the mix goes down well to say the least.
Filipinas seem to always be in a happy, easy to please and willing to please mood. Compared to the average Western attitude, it seems unnatural but very welcoming none the less. Years ago it used to be older guys trading up that brought Filipinas back, now a lot more men are open to the Filipinas and to be honest, life could be worse
Will definitely schedule a trip for myself in the future.
@Jagr: I knew someone would have mentioned Pattaya within the first two posts. I haven't been in years, when I did I was too young to take advantage. Only major downside would be that there are too many Aussies/Kiwis, this is coming from someone from Australia. In Bangkok, I got a five star hotel room for $80/night so I imagine it would be similar in Pattaya. Pattaya is also popular with Russians if that floats anyone's boat.
BeijaFlor :Specialty "monger" boards for P4P travel
Not to curtail this thread - I think it's fun as well as instructive - but it might be worth mentioning that there are several forums that specialize in "P4P travel." Some of them are pay-to-enter; a couple that I know of have an outer "free area" for the casual, curious browser, and an inner "paid area" that contains more (and more current) information. I'm a member of three of them (though not under this user-name).
"International Sex Guide" is completely free. It's organized by global region, then country, then destination within that country. Threads run last-in-first-out, so you get the most current post on top, but that makes it awkward to follow a story. Some threads, like the one on Sosua (Dom Rep), include thousands of posts.
"I Found The Chicas" is a free board with a paid option - rather, there's a limited "new members" area, and a larger area for "full" members who have contributed enough useful information and reports to be upgraded. A new member can pay for a "Fast Pass" to get full access immediately.
"In Search Of Chicas" is my favorite. It has a HUGE free area which covers the what-where-how sort of information, an equally-huge "Pictures/Trip Reports" section which is available by paid subscription, and a couple of inner levels that are by invitation only (I haven't been invited).
I'm not posting links, but google the name and you'll get right to the site.
Our Man in Penang :
I certainly can confirm Jagr's recommendation of Pattaya, I found it to be everything he said and more. Current price for short time on Soi-6 (main ST bar area) is 1,500 Baht for an hour - dirt cheap by Western standards for young, funny and rather delightful young Asian ladies. A useful guide for those thinking about Pattaya is The Newbie's Guide to Pattaya
In terms of European destinations:
Riga, Latvia
Latvia sex tourism is particularly popular with British tourists who are looking for a place to find cheap sex, cheap alcohol, beautiful women and have a good time. In fact, with an increased number of budget airlines offering bargain flights into the capital of Riga, it has become a favourite destination for stag parties.
Budapest, Hungary
With prostitution being legal in Hungary is it also very appealing to those that arrive from countries where prostitution is illegal – such as the USA. The Hungarian culture is very open to the sex industry and a lot more open minded than other countries.
The cost of Hungarian sex tourism is also a lot cheaper than hiring prostitutes and other sex workers overseas. Many of the sex workers in Hungary come from poor backgrounds so will generally accept lower amounts of money for their services than other countries.
Prostitution has been a big business in Hungary for hundreds of years, but it was largely underground until 1999 when it was legalized and is now regulated. This has led to a major increase in Hungary sex tourism.
Budapest is not only the capital of Hungary but is also largely regarded as the sex capital of the world. There are few other places where you will find such a diverse array of sex shops, strip clubs, cabarets, pornography, prostitutes and more in one city.
Prague, Czech Republic
There are many reasons why the Czech Republic is repeatedly named as one of the top destinations for sex tourism. In fact, sex tourism is one of the major players in the country’s economy. Many Czech prostitutes and sex workers arrive from Russia and are typically tall, blonde and beautiful. The sex industry in the Czech Republic is massive so Czech sex tourists are well catered for – particularly in the capital of Prague. It is estimated that there are over 1260 brothels operating in the Czech Republic.
One attraction to Czech sex tourism is the somewhat relaxed laws when it comes to prostitution and sex, when compared to other countries. Prostitution is legal in the Czech Republic; however it is illegal to act as a pimp and brothels are a legal grey area. The laws are quite relaxed and enforcement of illegal prostitution is rare. There are approximately 350 brothels operating in the city as well as hundreds more street prostitutes, escort agencies and other sexual services.
The two other popular regions for Czech sex tourism are Northern Bohemia and Western Bohemia. Many of the Czech Republic’s sex tourists arrive from surrounding countries via car so a lot of popular brothels and other sex institutes are located along the roads that go in and out of Austria and Germany.
Ukraine
I'd normally include the Ukraine on the list, but given the current uprising their have to hold back on that until things quieten down.
BeijaFlor :
This thread deserves a bump - and a move to somewhere more suitable than the "deprecated Lounge."
I've had a couple of "lad's trips" since the last post on this thread - to Thailand, the Dominican Republic, and Colombia. Next week I'm heading for my second trip to Boca Chica, DR, the "weekend beach town" of Santo Domingo ... I'll try to post "live on the ground" this time.
Dominican Republic: I've visited two major P4P-vacation centers in this country. Sosúa, on the North Coast (west of Puerto Plata, and a little further west of Carnival Cruise Line's new Amber Cove cruise-stop in Maimón), is one I've covered above (post #2 of this thread) ... the other is Boca Chica, on the South Coast, east of Santo Domingo, and pretty-much the 'beach playground' of that capital city. Costs and availability in Boca Chica are quite similar to those I named for Sosúa, above, though its 'action' is somewhat more limited - it's a smaller space; and the beach is much different from Playa de Sosúa as well, because you have to go through the restaurants, bars, and suchlike on Avenida Duarte to get to it.
Thailand - Bangkok: The major 'naughty nightlife' area seems to be around the 'Nana' station of the BTS Skytrain (elevated railway) system, which is a major hotel district to the east of what Google Maps shows as the center of Bangkok. There are actually two "Ground Zero" areas near the Nana station -- Nana Plaza (which is south of Sukhumvit Road, the major route beneath the BTS 'E' line, at 'Sukhumvit Soi 3') and Soi Cowboy (which is across Asok Montri Road - another 'main drag' crossing Sukhumvit - from the Terminal 21 shopping center). Both of them are go-go bar complexes, with hundreds of 'cute young things' ready to rock your world, for a price ... one note of warning, though; some of them could be described as a "girl with a little bit extra," as the famous cross-dressing entertainer Danny La Rue described himself. "Before you buy that drink, Tex, you ought to know that little filly is a little stallion in drag." (Ladyboys, or katoeys, are accepted in Thai demi-monde culture. I wasn't interested, but I didn't get offended ... and I may have banged a post-op katoey, one who had 'the manly hydraulics' re-fashioned into 'a pocket for my rocket.' But I digress....)
Medellin, Colombia: Once the 'home' of the cocaine industry, this mountain-enclosed city has become a mecca for tourism and a popular pied-á-terre for a thriving expatriate population. Part of its 'draw' is the low prices for everything from apartments, to dining-out, to P4P ... an expat can live well in Medellin, on a pension that's modest indeed by USA/UK/EU standards! But since we're talking about "lad's trips" - I ought to concentrate on the price of pay-for-play. The 'casas de masaje' downtown, in the old city center, are remarkably inexpensive, during the work-day hours; but they close after dark, and the nightclub-girls and the 'outcall' escorts charge a whole lot more. (We're still talking on the order of $100 US for an all-nighter, with two pops - one after bed-time, the other before breakfast - and a nice night's cuddle in-between.)
Personally, I'm interested in more than P4P in my vacations; I'm also fond of the ocean, the beach, and scuba-diving, and that directs my interest in vacations as much as the chicas. The diving is pretty darned good in Sosúa and Boca Chica, DR ... it's not bad in Pattaya, Thailand, but the waters are roiled up by all of the speedboats and jet-skis that blast around the area ... and, of course, there's NO diving in Medellin; it's all about the chicas. But I'm justifying my upcoming trip to Boca Chica, by planning to dive just-about every day; my late-January trip to the Philippines will center on Subic Bay, which has plenty of shipwrecks for me to explore; and my April trip to Medellin will include more tourism than I managed in September ... starting with taking the helicopter-shuttle from the international airport, up in the hills, to the original Medellin airport downtown. And maybe I'll check out Phuket, Thailand, in November/December 2016.
