Very accurate depiction of modern society. When I am unfortunate enough to be out and about with the ignorant masses, the proportion of people glued to their smartphones is both appalling and disheartening. I've seen twats literally walk into walls because they were so busy texting, and I've seen twats almost cause automobile accidents because they were texting while driving. Hell, I was on vacation and soaking in the sun on the beach in Puerto Rico, and instead of enjoying the tropical paradise that the landscape offered, I saw a high percentage of twats sitting on their towel/chair staring at their phone. If you browse Twitter or Facebook or dating sites, the sheer volume of selfies that bitches take are testament to their profound narcissism (reference my other post on twats and inappropriate selfies at Auschwitz and with cadavers). Cunts are so wrapped up in themselves that they ignore the beauty of the world and are in fact a danger to others. They are willing to trample anyone else who doesn't conform to the desires of the self-proclaimed princess.
Ancient Sunlight :
I spoke to a motorcycle instructor the other day, and he informed me one of his primary maxims was: "Stay the hell away from cars!" "There are too many idiots on the roads -- mainly women texting." Apparently nearly 25 percent of all car accidents in 2011 involved mobile phones..
The comic is magnificent. These past few days two girls have been sharing nearly their entire vacation with their loyal fan-base of White Knights on Facebook. Too bad for the gallant knights that the girls are probably fucking some guys in the Balkans while they're busy desperately 'liking' every post!
William Noy :
I know a guy who gets very upset when no one likes any of his posts. I can't imagine what that must be like. I just post things on FB, or anywhere because I have something to say. While I like getting validation from other people liking what I post, that's not why I do it.
Thomas Covenant :
Not being on Facebook or Twitter or anything else no doubt makes me a bit of a curmudgeon at 29 years of age. But the more people make a big deal about me not using them, the more I feel I made the right choice not joining.
I just think they are too facile, most of the time. This forum is different. It's like the forums of antiquity where the men would discuss matters of importance.

Im in my middle 30's and avoid Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and their ilk like the plague. Without fail, I get asked by my colleagues and students for my social media link or name every few weeks. The look of genuine shock and awe on their faces when I tell them I don't waste my time on such trivial nonsense is well worth it.
Indianajohn :
I'm eye to eye with 50 and I have never had Facebook or anything of the like. don't want it, don't need it, fuck it.
William Noy :
For me, facebook is a utility. It has a use for me, so I use it. If it didn't, I wouldn't.
But, again, that leads back to my inability to comprehend people treating facebook like it's everything. I've seen people get depressed/get into real world fights/ and all kinds of nonsense because something less-than-nice happened on facebook.
Really, people? Just to give you an idea of how I think about stuff like that, it would be like me moping around and generally being out of sorts because someone put a ding in my hammer.
BeijaFlor :
I'm reviving my old Facebook page ... a little. Putting up some things about men's rights, just enough to piss off the pampered.
LuckyAustrian :
I have a Facebook Account but only look inside to upload a picture gallery of private stuff i want to sell on our local version of Craigslist.
Have not looked inside for 3 weeks or so and zero friends on FB.
Did a short scan about people in my area on Facebook and most of them i prefer to not have contacts as I noticed the more impressive the Facebook the more loser in real-life (object D comes to mind whose FB is impressive, her bank account for sure is not..)
People i want to contact me know how to do so.
I get regular requests for LinkedIn but really do not care much about "networking" as
a) My customer base is not at LinkedIn
b) I hate that "personal relationship marketing" crap .. i only care about price, service, quality and reliability and not about your diplomas or suits
jso :
too bad the rest of the zen pencils comics are packed full of leftism, feminism, and social justice bullshit.
Egress Artist :
The world is insane.
Without the validation on social sites, one might be inclined to believe they are really the insane one.
Facebook is the pimp. The pusher that reassures us, rationing bits of our sanity back to us one Like at a time.
Alik Sakharov :
I stopped using facebook cause im an indvidualist and i do not need other people at all ... on facebook i was always joking and writing funny poems for girls and they loved it to bits, and thought that im some kind of a lyrical gangster ..ahh my point was it was scaring me shitless when girls started to ask me out . When a girl asks you out its a scary scary thing . Im sure lots of you guys had never been asked out by a hottie
LOL on facebook everybody will go everywhere to every club or a concert fast forward some time and it turns out nobody went
FB is a great thing though , people give their crazy away so you dont have to bother in real life .
College MGTOW :
FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, you name it, I'm in it everywhere. Holy fuck, it sucks.
Facebook is for broads sharing their vacations on, talking about God, the light pitter-patters of social justice warriors, and advertising. Oh god, the Advertising. (

Twitter is for current press releases and Tumblr/Twitter/Instagram crossover celebrity wank.
LinkedIn is like Social Media for Body Peddlers.
We don't talk about G+.
Reddit is a link aggregator that we comment on. It's like /b/ but with less degrees of anonymity.
And if it weren't for the fact people apparently, what, talk or something over this stuff? I don't even know how that works, because there is almost nothing exclusively but noise from all those joints. My life was better without them, and I'm glad I get to control them as much as I do now.

Chairborne :
I use facebook primarily to keep in touch with 4-5 people in my old hometown, and to propogate my ideology. I have a fairly large "friend" collection (about 250). Some are military, but most are from my music days; and the majority of musicians and music fans are leftist malcontented cultural-relativist pinheads. So I challenge them on three fronts; If they post something that's socialist/anti-capitalist, pro-feminist/anti-male, or pro-Islamic (I've spent 20% of my life living in muslim shitholes; I'm not prejudiced - I'm POSTjudiced), I start fact checking and tear apart their posts in front of 3rd party observers.
Facebook for me is a confrontational, aggressive place to decisively engage the ideology of my peers. A few have unfriended me, but most keep me around because in the flesh I'm actually a pretty entertaining guy. In fact, it's pretty difficult for even those few to unfriend me... I don't belittle, I don't get angry, I don't mock, and I don't demean my opponents. I ALWAYS strive to maintain the moral high ground, which makes them look bad if I they were to 'unfriend' me.
So yeah - there might be an addiction, but it's an addiction to adrenaline derived from dominating my intellectual lessers. Not that I'm smarter than ANY of those other people, but I have a great resource in the manosphere (as well as the online counter-jihad and the libertarian movement) to conduct research to burst their ideolgical bubbles. I might spend an hour researching a topic just to tear a post apart, and I'll do that 2-3 times a week...
Egress Artist :
Facebook is a face. Without tribe feedback, without smiles, comments, likes, people feel invisible. Like they are disappearing or getting cast out of the group. The creeping unease sets in. As if you're being slowly erased from existence. It triggers a sense of threat to your very survival.
It's said serotonin and dopamine are technically the only two things anyone actually enjoys. Drugs are a shortcut. They are hacking your reward and pleasure centers but drugs aren't the only thing that does it. Ever taken a child's favorite toy away? Video games? Computer? Grounded against being with the bad crowd? Ever seen the desperate fit they throw? Some of these replies are getting more relevant to the other threads too, like "What's Next?" and "You Need to Get Laid".

Every once in a while I'll see a girl playing on her phone and walk right out into traffic without looking. If she almost gets hit then she acts like the driver's the asshole, even if he had 100% right of way. And a few weeks ago I was running while a woman who had a baby strapped to her chest was just meandering around and texting, walking right towards me. Had I been less of a conscientious person I'd have barreled full speed into her. It's not hard to miss a guy who's over 6 feet tall running towards you, but she was so oblivious that playing on her phone was more important than the welfare of her child. And this wasn't a standard hood rat or white trash idiot, she was a pretty young girl who looked to be college educated. I also know GUYS who will be having a face-to-face conversation with me, and then if they hear their phone beep they'll immediately turn their attention to it and play on it. The internet is sometimes used as a surrogate for real-life interaction, but when you're ignoring real life interactions for virtual ones then your priorities are pretty fucked.
And great points about vacations. I've said it before that when guys go on vacation they usually want to live in the moment or do something crazy. I know lots of guys who will climb a mountain or go hiking or bike across a long distance or go surfing. In these cases I think taking a photo of the moment is worth it. They're actually getting off their asses and doing something you don't normally do every day, so that's great. But when women go on vacations they just end up going to restaurants or sitting on beaches, AKA stuff you can pretty much do at home. I've never seen a girl post a photo of her vacation that isn't completely bland. So you got wine in Paris - How about going into the Catacombs instead? But still, manginas go nuts over this and act like a girl drinking French wine in a French country is like climbing Mount Everest. This would be like someone from Siberia getting excited to eat McDonald's in America.
I was 17 when Myspace came out and 18 when Facebook debuted. Going to school in a boring college town with lots of free time meant I was instantly hooked on social media. I'm on Facebook all the time, but I see it as a way to understand social dynamics and study human nature. So much of what we talk about on here is backed up on social media, and you begin to be able to profile people really well based on how they look or what they say.
But the biggest thing I've found on social media is that men are respected for what they DO, women are respected for who they ARE. I've seen girls get more likes for a photo of their drink at Starbucks (That wasn't even made by them) than a guy could get for a photo of some accomplishment (Climbing a mountain, graduating college, getting a big break at work, etc.).
And I do get frustrated when CERTAIN posts of mine don't get likes. And the reason why is because it makes me realize that no one gives a shit about you. I make my living in the arts and I endeavor in other creative fields as hobbies. Every once in a while I'll post a drawing I made or a song I recorded. Both are easy to digest and take in, but still I get almost no attention from it. Recently I started a recording project with a friend and we recorded some songs over a months' time and put them online on a Facebook page. We invited people to come check the page out and so far the response has been dismal. I feel like people are friending the page out of obligation, and so far we've gotten no positive OR negative feedback on our stuff. They say that the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference, and that's so true. I'd rather have people hate the stuff we're doing and let us know than to just remain silent. The same silence goes for posts about science and most politics. However, if I post a stupid cat video or a meme I can get 10 likes in an hour, no problem. The "like" system is really showing us where the average person's mind is.
At one point I almost thought of using a female name in all artistic pursuits because I've noticed that female artists usually get WAY more attention, even if they don't deserve it. I remember one day I posted a drawing I spent 10 hours working on to only get 1 like, while a girl who admitted she had just gotten Photoshop for the first time posted some bizarre scribble/collage thing and got 20 likes in an hour. As a man in a feminized society, there's a very high chance you will never get as much praise as a woman with a pretty face could if you're just an average guy. If you share a creation or accomplishment on FB it will never spark the same feelings and emotions that a pretty girl taking a photo of her face will.
And remember - "Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people." If the only thing a person has to share with the world are photos of themselves that they took themselves then there's really nothing else going on with them.

Yeeeaaaahhhh... I know. I'm still going to discuss my ex-wife. It's therapeutic.
